On April 30, the lawns of Ladronka Park will host Prague’s centuries-old Czech tradition where bonfires blaze, witches burn, and hundreds gather to bid farewell to winter and welcome the warmth of spring.
The witch festival is free and starts at 12:00, with festivities and entertainment provided throughout the day. The makeshift witch burning will take place at 19:30, and visitors are encouraged to join the fun by wearing their best witchy costumes.
Activities include music and theatre performances, a witch burning bonfire, a “magical photo booth” with an Instagram contest, and many other witchy competitions and workshops. The festivities in the park are also accompanied by several food and beer vendors.
