1) The Strings of Autumn

5th of October – 18th of November

This time The Strings of Autumn celebrates its 20th anniversary. Every year this festival brings to Prague international stars performing in different types of music genres – jazz, pop, classical music and other. Combining in itself tradition and experiment, the festival offers a truly unique program. There are still several concerts to go, so hurry up to reserve the best seats.

2) Brazilian Film Carnival

5th of November – 8th of November

This festival presents to the Czech audience a selection of quality Brazilian movies and promises to bring a bit of Brazilian sunshine into the generally dark and drizzly November days. The screenings will be held at Bio OKO cinema and accompanied by discussions and additional activities. All movies will be screened in original with English and Czech subtitles.

3) St. Martin day’s Celebrations

14th of November

St. Martin’s Celebrations denote the time when agricultural work comes to an end. To celebrate this people roast a goose with sauerkraut and dumplings and open a bottle of Svatomartinské vino – a young wine from the recent harvest. This month everybody will be able to try these traditional Czech specialties together with some snacks and gourmet foods such as local cheese or salami at Naplavka.

4) Czech Theatre Night

21st of November

It will be already the third time when Czech Theatre Night takes place in Prague as a part of a big international project called European Theatre Night. The audience will get a chance to visit all kinds of workshops and lectures, backstage tours and autograph sessions. Many Prague theatres will open their doors not only during the day, but during the night time as well. It will help to attract people of all ages and interests and present the Theatre as a brunch of Art in a new, unusual way.
