Lecturer Alena Foustková hosted a presentation titled “Discover the Wonders of Norway,” enticing attendees with stories from her 4000-kilometer journey and breathtaking photos.

Foustková visited Volda University College, an AAU and Erasmus partner, as part of a work trip to renew the agreement between the sister schools. Accompanied by her husband, she decided to take a road trip before arriving at the destination, traversing through three countries- Czechia, Germany, and Denmark- using two modes of transportation: car and ferry.

“There’s nothing, only nature. It was like being inside a postcard,” Foustková said.

Foustková shared over 50 pictures during the presentation, emphasizing Norway’s natural beauty.

Her photography captured the details of daily life in Norway, like kayaks hung snugly on a house’s exterior and rows of electric cars juxtaposed against a hydroelectric dam.

“Pictures of fjords in Norway were so beautiful, and I had a lot of fun listening to her story of traveling by car to Norway,” said Chaeyeon Lim, an exchange student from South Korea.

The presentation ended with a viewing of the new tourism advertisement “Is it even a city?” by Visit OSLO, in which a Norwegian man questions why people come to Oslo, striking viewers with its humor and tranquil backgrounds.

Foustková gave a sneak peek of her next presentation, scheduled for 23 October, which will focus on Volda University College’s recent investment in journalism and media facilities.
